About the Foundation of Advertising, Turkey
Turkish Foundation of Advertising (TFA) was founded by the Turkish Association of Advertising Agencies (TAAA) and its members in 1998.
The leading organizations in the Turkish advertising sector, TAAA and TFA represent 85% of the industry having more than 75 corporate and 37 im person members and work with the objective to promote qualitative and quantative growth of the industry.
While TAAA focuses on the industry representation, with a special emphasize on media measurements and improving sectoral standarts; TFA disseminates knowledge and experience to sector professionals for ensuring better professional standards.
TFA activities addresses professionals of all segments of marketing communication, i.e. companies, advertisers, the media, advertising agencies and the academic world. In eight years, over 5000 professionals have been participated the training events and conferences.
The TFA’s major activities are presented below:
Trainings
Supported by a training team of approximately 500 trainers: executives from advertising agencies, advertisers, research, media and other marketing communication organisations, specialists and academics;
- S.T.E.P. Trainings – Visionary training sessions to share sectoral knowledge and experiences from Turkey and abroad for young and experienced professionals from agencies and advertisers;
- AdSchool Istanbul – Masters degrees and certificate programmes for young professionals in marketing communication, co-operation with Istanbul Bilgi University.
- Advertising Summer School - An orientation programme about advertising and brand management for young graduates, planning a career in advertising sector.
Publications
- Encyclopaedia of Turkish Brands –4 volumes, success stories of 70 Turkish Brands with a record of effective client – agency relationship.
- EFFIE winners in 2005 and 2007 – Campaign summaries in training basis.
- Copyrighted, translated, advertising and brand management books published under the house title of TFA Publications
